The Chair lift ride at The Gorge, Launceston, Tasmania, gives you a splendid view of the water and surrounding rock formations. The single chair lift covers 457 metres and it's central span of 308 metres is supposedly the longest in the world. The Gorge is best viewed during winter and early summer when the water level is high.
Wallaby
I've been in Tasmania for almost a year but this has been my first ever sighting of a Wallaby. Though I did get to see Kangaroos from afar, that still didn't count and visiting zoo's wasn't something that I have done here yet. This Wallaby was spotted at the Gorge in Launceston. You can also find Peacocks and Peahens at the Gorge. A lovely place to see in Launceston.
